PEMF Therapy

PEMF Therapy Is Available in Orange!

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) is a technology widely utilized by NASA, the VA, John Hopkins, and the Mayo Clinic, among others, for decades. PEMF has been considered an effective and non-invasive way to relieve pain for over 60 years, primarily in a clinical setting, with over 10,000 clinical studies supporting its effectiveness. It offers relief from:

  • Chronic pain
  • Trauma
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Migraines
  • Reversal of metabolic disorders and more

SOME FACTS ABOUT PEMF THERAPY

PEMF therapy was FDA-approved decades ago.

PEMF technology has been FDA-approved for 25 years for bone healing, post-surgical pain and healing, pain and inflammation, knee pain, and even depression.

PEMF technology was developed after WWII (though its origins go back) and researched and adopted by NASA.

PEMF therapy originated from NASA’s research involving the benefits of pulsed electromagnetic fields on astronauts for fatigue, depression, bone loss, and other symptoms following even short trips to outer space. NASA did a 4-year collaborative study on the efficacy of electromagnetic fields to stimulate growth and repair in mammalian tissues.

PEMF therapy has a 60+ year-long track record of clinical success.

PEMF therapy has 60+ years of clinical success in relieving pain at the source by pulsing electromagnetic waves at precise frequencies, speeding the body’s recovery at a cellular level.

The FDA approved PEMF therapy in 1979 to heal nonunion fractures, which came after a Columbia University study encouraged by NASA that gained attention in the U.S. The value of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy has been shown to cover a wide range of conditions, with well-documented trials carried out by hospitals, rheumatologists, physiotherapists, and neurologists.

PEMF machines work in conjunction with the body’s recovery processes to relieve pain by restoring cells to function efficiently.

Our skin, bones, and organs are composed of tiny cells. A healthy cell membrane has positive and negative charges required to exchange potassium, sodium, and calcium ions. When cells become distressed from disease, trauma, or toxins, they lose their ability to function efficiently. PEMF restores the positive and negative charges in the cell, enabling it to perform its natural function while speeding tissue recovery.

The human body requires electricity to send signals through the body and the brain. PEMF therapy works effectively to re-align the electric potential of our cells.

Resting cells are negatively charged on the inside, while the outside of the cell is more positively charged. The flow of charges across the cell membrane is what generates electrical currents.

When a cell is stimulated, it allows positive charges to enter the cell through open ion channels. The inside of the cell becomes more positively charged, triggering further electrical currents that can turn into electrical pulses, called action potentials. Our bodies use specific action potentials to initiate the correct movements, thoughts, and behaviors.

A disruption in electrical currents can lead to illness. Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) can restore the interruption of the electrical current to its normal state, therefore, helping restore the cell.
